Why #4?Van Dijk wore 4 at Groningen and wanted it again, but at Southampton it belonged to his friend Jordy Clasie and he wouldn't ask for it. Liverpool's was free, and it carried Sami Hyypiä, who had played for Willem II — the club where Van Dijk spent ten years. He called it a perfect match.Source: si.com
